History of Queens Park
Like so many areas of London, Queens park quickly changed from being a rural area in the early 19th century to a London suburb as the industrial revolution developed, rail links appeared and pthe population expanded rapidly.
The area attracted many irish settlers who still live there. Some parts are still run down but with property prices being so high for first time buyers, Queens Park has attracted many young professionals and the area is quickly turning into an area with a village feel. It is an easy commute from the West End and fairly close to Camden or Hampstead. It has some designated conservation areas and there is an excellent choice of Victorian and Edwardian properties, many with gardens. Some have been converted into flats but most are sold as whole houses.
