Outlet London Property Guides – where to live and what’s available

If you want to buy or rent a property in London, there are lots of fascinating facts and useful information tucked away in our London Property Guides. They’re invaluable if you’ve never lived in London before, and even if you were born within the sound of Bow Church bells (the definition of a true cockney), chances are there are still useful bits and pieces you can unearth, even about your home patch.

Each area guide gives an overview of the district selected as well as a brief history plus places of interest. You can also see an overview of transport, schools and other useful information. Just click on the links below to find out more about all the different locations.

Central London Area Guides
This part of London is home to some of the world’s most famous sights and iconic landmarks. But when it comes to living there, there’s much more to Central London than The Tower of London and Buckingham Palace (unless you’re a royal, of course). From market stalls to high-end, high street shops, or the sophistication of Mayfair to the bright lights of the West End, this city has it all. And living in places like Angel, Belgravia or Farringdon, it could all be on your doorstep. Read more about our Central London Property Guides

North London Area Guides
Historic Camden Market paired with the modern, stylish cafés and boutiques of nearby Belsize Park and Hampstead demonstrate this area’s diversity. A leafy part of the capital thanks to the wide open spaces such as Highgate and Hampstead Heath, it provides a welcome change from London’s typical pace for a wide range of people, and many of the capital’s free-thinkers have a home there. But whatever their views, anyone living in North London tends to be famously loyal to the area – and for good reason. Don’t miss our North London Property Guides

East London Area Guides
Old meets new in this part of the city. Shoppers and bargain hunters can scour famous Spitalfields Market for the vintage and the contemporary, while iconic landmarks like Tower Bridge overlook the ever-expanding Canary Wharf. The East End (historically, London’s main working class district) and the rest of East London offer a melting pot of cultures and have transformed into a thriving, dynamic hub. Plus with few tourist spots, this is as authentic as it gets! Have a look at our East London Property Guides

South London Area Guides
If you like your London a little less hectic and with a little more open space then South of the Thames could be for you. The likes of Clapham Common and Richmond Park, where deer run free, combined with easy travel connections into the centre, have made it ideal for people who want to balance city pace with suburban space. There’s also plenty of property available, from big family houses to flats and flatshares. You can see more by clicking on our South London Property Guides

West London Area Guides
Being largely residential, the West of the capital is popular with those who may want to escape work or the hustle and bustle of Central London at the end of the day. It’s convenient for Heathrow and is served by seven out of twelve of the tube lines. It’s also graced by many affluent parts, not least Kensington and Earls Court, as well as plenty of affordable areas, with Ealing and Acton popular for families.  That said, there’s no shortage of business or shopping opportunities there.
