Mark Bajer

Mark Bajer – Property Consultant

The major part of Mark's working life has been to focus on the health and welfare of others. He is a qualified psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, and for many years worked in organisations training and supervising counsellors and supervisors in their roles, as well as being part of a management team organising the provision of services. These days he continues to offer private therapy a few hours each week. His concern for the welfare of others, and the compassion that he brings to his work in the property market contributes to clients having a positive experience whether buying or selling their home.

Mark grew up with a passion for music and theatre, and has participated in several theatre productions. He remains a member of the actor's union Equity, and has not ruled out returning to the world of entertainment in the future.

Mark is passionate about travel, and believes that everyone should try to find some time to get away from their usual environment, and experience a complete contrast to their usual daily life. He now utilises his travel experience and connections to help others by offering a personal travel service to help them plan and arrange their holidays.

Mark Bajer - Q and A

What inspired you to work in property?

I have always been drawn towards helping people, whether it's guiding them through stressful times, or bringing more fun and pleasure into their lives. Sometimes, it just needs a little time to listen and support. At other times, more practical advice and help is needed. A home is an essential and important part of our lives, providing a safe and secure environment, comfort, pleasure, and happiness. I am excited to have the opportunity now to help people through the process of selling their existing home, and / or finding and buying their dream home - gently guiding them through what might otherwise be a complex and stressful experience.

What values do you feel are important in working for Outlet?

Putting the client first is my top priority, which means working honestly and with integrity. Providing an efficient service while retaining a relaxed attitude, remaining approachable, and bringing a sense of fun and enthusiasm to the task are important qualities which will always be at the top of my agenda.

Where is your favourite place to live in London?

I like to think of London as a cluster of small towns and villages which come together to form a vast and diverse city. It is difficult to choose one area over another, as each one has its own individual characteristics which make it special. I was born and raised in East London / Essex where I live today. Living in Gants Hill, I have plenty of shops on my doorstep, including local versions of major supermarket brands open late every day, as well as a late night pharmacy and 24 hour shops for those last minute urgent purchases. There are also restaurants offering a variety of international cuisine, and bars and clubs for evening entertainment.

Gants Hill is on the eastern end of the Central Line on the London Underground, and the station is just a couple of minutes from my home. There are also many bus routes, including a night bus to and from Central London, great for those late nights out. Gants Hill will also be served by the night tube when it opens later this year, and Ilford Station a few minutes away currently proving the TFL Rail service to Liverpool Street, will soon be part of the Crossrail service which will provide a direct link to Heathrow Airport, adding to the existing links to Stansted and Southend Airports via Stratford and Liverpool Street.

What are your favourite things to do in London?

London is a great place for shopping and entertainment. I love to visit Westfield Stratford City which contains a huge shopping mall with a great selection of shops and restaurants, plus a multi screen cinema, bowling alley, a 24 hour casino with live music on Fridays and Saturdays, and a couple of hotels so visitors have just have a few steps to their bed after an eventful day and night out.

Best night out in London?

It's changed over the years, but these days it's most likely meeting up with friends for a meal in Soho, followed by drinks and late night cabaret in a nearby bar.
