Gary Cooper – Property Consultant

Gary joined the Outlet team in 2007 from an already successful estate agent over in Canary Wharf.

Even though young for taking on the role of a property manager his persistence in getting things done and tenacious appetite for finding a better deal worked well in his favour for dealing with other people’s property troubles. Dealing with everything from leaky roofs, broken boilers and flooding through to problematic mice, inventories and tenants rents this is a multi-tasking and very varied job where one day really never is the same.

What inspired you to work in property?

Moving to London I found myself working in an estate agents in Canada Water. It was working here for over a year that enjoyed managing properties and thrived with every day being different and never boring!

What values do you feel are important in working for Outlet?

Working with and liaising with so many different people, I think customer care and communication is very important, creating that personal touch with each client.

Where is your favourite place to live in London?

Living in Clapham is the best place I have lived so far. With a common for summer and a high street with everything I need. Plus a short ride on the northern or Victoria line gets me into the west end very quick!

What are your favourite things to do in London?

Shopping on Oxford Street, when the crowds are at a minimum. I also like visiting museums such as the British Museum. 

Best night out in London?

On the rare occasion I have a night out, I like to go into Soho with all its vibrant bars and atmosphere to match! If im looking for entertainment without the alcholol I like to either go swimming or head up to Alexandra Palace for ice skating.

Favourite motto?

Knowledge is power.

I must tell you that I am very impressed by Outlet Property Management and your team. Not only were you able to find and offer us a superb flat, but your communications and additional services are top class too. All calls were returned quickly, and all issues that arose were dealt with quickly, efficiently, and to our full satisfaction. 

For example, one Monday morning the boiler stopped working (nightmare!). Thanks to you, within 20 minutes of reporting the problem, I had received a call from the plumbers and had arranged an appointment for later that afternoon. Quick – easy – efficient, and the bill was also covered by you straight away over the phone with the plumber directly, instead of some cumbersome and long-winded claims procedure. It made my day!
