Karl Reynolds– Lettings Negotiator
There is one thing that can be said about Karl and that is his over enthusiastic approach to lettings and his eagerness to let property is undeniable.
Starting off his career working for John Lewis as a Customer Service Manager, Karl soon found that helping people and providing an effective service was always going to be a strong ethic in his career. He took this experience and in moving to London over two years ago he began work for one of London’s largest real estate companies. Seeking a more personal approach to helping people find new homes he moved to Outlet, which he kindly thought as moving up the ladder in working in London’s most vibrant and changing market. Karl has always had a passion for working in property since leaving college, and he is now looking forward to taking his knowledge and experience to a new level.
Karl Reynolds - Q and A
What inspired you to work in property?
I have been working in property now for almost two years and for me it’s something I am extremely passionate about. For me there is no greater feeling then being able to hand over keys to a tenant after successfully finding them a home. A property is not just a transaction, it’s one of the biggest decisions you will make, it’s a home and I want people to come to that place and feel comfortable in the position that they made the right choice.
What values do you feel are important in working for Outlet?
The most important factor for me is building the relationship with my applicant. Applicant is a funny word in this business; I like to think of an applicant as more of my friend then just someone who is looking for a house through me. Throughout my time in property I have met some amazing people and many who I am still in contact with long after they have moved in. I think it’s the personal touch and going that extra mile to show that we really care that differentiates Outlet from many other agents in this industry.
Where is your favourite place to live in London?
The West End, Soho is the most vibrant, exciting and happening place in London, it truly never sleeps and that’s what I love most about it. The mixture of community, it’s a place I always feel at home and that matters most. From the long list of bars and restaurants to the many theatres and varying forms of entertainment, soho truly cannot be beaten. Soho is also home to one of my favourite places that being Soho Square. I have spent many an afternoon laying in the square with friends enjoying a bottle or five or even the simple half-hour lunchtimes. Everyone seems to cascade on the square and I love the sense of community.
What are your favourite things to do in London?
Catching up with friends in Soho , the cinema, catching up in the gym when I can. Occasional club-nights out in Vauxhall (I won’t lie) and attacking Oxford Street for shopping in force.
Best night out in London?
Oh my, where to begin - there are far too many nights to pick a particular one but the most important thing to me is spending it with my closest friends. As long as they are around me, that makes the night..
Favourite motto?
Smile and the world smiles with you!!!
